Belinda Alexandrenko, Candidate #19, Louisiana Commissioner of Agriculture & Forestry
Belinda Alexandrenko, was born June 5, 1960, in Alexandria, LA. She was raised in Pineville and recently returned to care for her 89 year old father, Dr. Nikolai Alexandrenko. Belinda has resided in Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Livingston, and New Orleans. She currently resides in Pineville.
Belinda graduated from Pineville High School in 1978. She received a B.S. Degree in Business Management from Louisiana College. She completed a Masters program at LSU Graduate School at their College of Agriculture & Forestry in Human Resource Development, while studying Constitutional Law for a year as an elective. In addition, Belinda has many hours of graduate work at the Tulane School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine, with a specialization in International Health, Infectious Disease Control and Environmental Health.
Belinda spent her childhood summers on her grandmother’s farm in Crowville, LA. She has always had an affinity for farming and the plight of farmers. She realizes the vital role they play in our very survival and has a strong desire to serve in a capacity that will assist farmers, foresters, and ranchers in every way possible. Her work experience with the Department of Natural Resources, Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, and the LSU Agricultural Center will be of great value to her as the Commissioner of Agriculture & Forestry.
